The Galiano Community Hall was completed in 1927 and officially opened by the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia his honorable Randolph Bruce in May 1929. The hall has a seating capacity for 100 people and is wheelchair accessible. It is also affectionately known as the "South End Hall" in reference to the also important existence of the North Galiano Community Hall, run by the North Galiano Community Association.
We will be posting more history about the hall here as we slowly develop the content on this website. Submissions are welcome; please use the "Feedback" link on the left of the page.
This is the hall shown in our club logo, and has been an essential part of the island community during its history. The Galiano Club continues to maintain and manage the hall, with careful attention to retain its historical detailing where we can.
